Modi says India's foreign policy not based on Pakistan

Modi says India's foreign policy not based on Pakistan

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, seen departing for the 2016 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, will make an effort at this year's meeting to convince world leaders that Canada is still a good place to invest despite uncertainties about the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

He said Modi's visit to Davos is going to be a signal that India engages with rest of the world in a very multi-dimensional way.

The World Economic Forum is to meet from January 22 under the broad theme 'Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World.

A day before he was scheduled to leave for Davos, Modi said he would share his vision for future engagements between India and the worldwide community.

Last week, India and United States urged Pakistan to prosecute Hafiz Saeed, as Washington endorsed New Delhi's stance on the Jamaatud Dawa chief.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi claims that his country is not working to isolate one nation (Pakistan), underlining he will praise any country that takes action against terrorism.

On Tuesday, he will interact with global business community members, besides delivering his keynote address.

Volunteers turn up for homeless count
On Wednesday hundreds of volunteers will spread out across the state in an attempt to count as many homeless people as possible. The deployment site for the Palm Springs Count will be at the Palm Springs Police Department's Training Center at 200 S.

Ever since the Prime Minister took over, he has been pushing hard to make India the world's next manufacturing hub.

Interestingly, this report comes days after Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said Modi's development policies for country's growth even inspired Trump.

On his agenda is a bilateral meeting with Swiss President Alain Berset. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is also expected to be in Davos, but Indian officials have stated that no meeting is planned between PM Abbasi and his Indian counterpart.

Announcing his decision, Trudeau said "Canada and India share a special bond, and are linked by tremendous people-to-people connections". He said: "Sell in any country of the world but manufacture here". He will address the global business leaders who will be here.

"Top bosses of multinational firms from 18 countries and 20 Indian CEOs will be attending the dinner", added the officer.

In an interview with the Times Now, Modi also claimed that it was wrong perception that India's foreign policy revolved around Pakistan and it would be "grave injustice" to say it.

PM Modi is accompanied by six union ministers - Arun Jaitley, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, MJ Akbar and Jitendra Singh.
