Mets giving 50 Cent a chance to redeem himself on 1st pitch

Mets giving 50 Cent a chance to redeem himself on 1st pitch

Here is your invite to throw out a first pitch this season.

After 50 Cent hilariously flubbed his ceremonial first pitch duties during a 2014 New York Mets game at Citi Field, the team is finally giving him another chance. While promoting his upcoming movie Den of Thieves, he admitted to Newsday that he regrets agreeing to do the toss.

"I'm like, this is what happens when the fanfare and the energy of the people is involved and you start trying to get fancy and try to throw the ball harder than you have to", the Queens native told Newsday's Neil Best". "No one said: 'Risk versus reward!' I would have kept my [expletive] in the stands". "They have baseball cards with me throwing the pitch-real baseball cards that they made", he said.

Caps hand Hurricanes brutal 4-3 loss
Staal, who posted his 200th career goal, scored on a first-period power-play goal a night after he posted a short-handed goal. Peters challenged the goal, claiming goaltender interference, but the Caps won the ruling after a lengthy review.

Here's the thing, 50-there's even more pressure this time.

During an interview with Newsday to promote his latest film, "Den of Thieves", which premieres on January 19, Jackson said, "I have to redeem myself at some point".

Well, either the Mets are offering 50 Cent a legit shot at redemption, or they know they'll get some good free press from another errant pitch from the hip-hop star.
