Former Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster arrested for marijuana possession

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster has been arrested for marijuana possession in Alabama, the USA Today reported on Friday.

The report cited the Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office arrest database.

Foster was the second of two first-round picks (No. 31 overall) by the 49ers in last year's draft and started 10 games while registering 72 combined tackles and a pass defensed.

The 49ers finished the season on a five-game winning streak, but still ended the year at 6-10. He was the highest-graded rookie linebacker this past season.

Ellis Short has to help Chris Coleman with signings, warns Sunderland star
With virtually no money to spend, Coleman wants to take Walters on loan with a view to signing him permanently at the end of the season.

Bond was set at $2,500 for Foster, who was a first-team All-American for the Crimson Tide in 2016 and also won the Butkus Award.

It's unclear what Foster was doing leading up to his arrest, although he did enter the National Football League with some red flags and character concerns. His urine sample was found to have been diluted, which was treated the same as a positive test. And we don't know much more than the little information that has come out from AL.com or other sources.

Let's hope it's not much.
