CA Charges Ryan Harris For Twitter Rant Over BBL Match

He had apologised the following day and stated, "As I've heard many times before, don't tweet when you've had a drink", Cricket Australia quoted Harris.

The former Australia pacer had voiced his opinion and disapproval of a dismissal in the BBL clash where he tweeted, stating that it "an absolutely disgraceful decision by the umpires" and "very, very embarrassing".

"As per the CA Code of Conduct procedure, Match Referee Bob Stratford considered the umpires' report, and proposed a sanction of a $6,000 fine should the player accept the umpire's version of events".

The batsman was struck by a return throw when scampering home for a second run, with the ball deflecting onto the stumps as he made his ground.

The drama started when Burns' teammate Alex Ross was dismissed for obstructing the field during a BBL match between Brisbane Heat and Hobart Hurricanes.

Nevsun Resources (NSU) Declares Quarterly Dividend of $0.01
Nevsun Resources (NYSEAMERICAN:NSU) announced a quarterly dividend on Wednesday, December 13th, Wall Street Journal reports. Current price level places the company's stock about -12.35% from the 52-week high and 81.03% away from the 52-week low.

While Ross on Thursday insisted he had done so to protect himself, the third umpire deemed his re-route was a deliberate move to obstruct the wicketkeeper and sent him on his way. Heat captain Brendon McCullum admitted that the opposition deserved to win on the basis of their superior performance but he also slammed his Hurricanes' skipper George Bailey as the Kiwi felt that he had "missed an opportunity" to uphold the spirit of the game by not calling back Ross.

"Burns was reported for breaching CA Code of Conduct Article 2.1.4 - using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during a match - a Level 1 offence", a statement from the governing body read.

Former Australian player Ryan Harris.

Harris received a reprimand and a fully suspended fine of $3,000, subject to Harris not being found guilty of any further breach of the Cricket Australia Code of Conduct for a period of 24 months from January 10, 2018.
