Fergie Opens Up About Drug Addiction

Previously, Fergie spoke out about her past drug abuse to Time, referring to it as "the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with". "Because that's my strength, my faith, my hope for something better", she concluded.

Raising awareness about the consequences of drug addiction, Fergie told i newspaper: "At my lowest point, I was [suffering from] chemically-induced psychosis and dementia".

Earlier this year, Fergie also revealed that she was no longer a member of Black Eyed Peas, the multi-million selling hip-hop group for whom she was a vocalist from 2002.

The singer’s latest music video for ‘Save It Til Morning’ gives an insight into the breakdown of her marriage to actor Josh Duhamel by exploring the ups and downs of a celebrity relationship.

It was just me, in a parking lot.

The singer's hallucinations were quite common for crystal meth abusers, however, Fergie, unlike numerous people who suffer from addiction, was able to find help. It took a year after getting off that particular drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle so that I actually stopped seeing things'. Speaking candidly to i newspaper, the American singer shared: "I was basically hallucinating on a daily basis".

She said she had an eye-opening moment in a church.

Accused murderer's parents face contempt charges
"Each time the response that was elicited was, 'I'm not going to answer that question, '" Fernandez said. They wanted to ask the alleged gunman's parents about his background, mental state and the gun.

Reflecting on the intense consequences of the drug, the California native said: 'I'd just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or a bunny'.

Fergie is now releasing her first solo album in over a decade, and despite not wishing to discuss her personal life, she does insist her family is a priority. "It gets tough and we get exhausted, but we're trying our hardest to make sure that kid feels nothing but love", she said.

Despite being devastated by the separation, Fergie remains philosophical.

And just in case fans were unsure over the future of The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie assured everyone that they're 100 per cent definitely still together.

Fergie began using crystal meth when she was 18-years-old.

"You never know what the universe is going to throw at you..."
