49 nations have violated UN sanctions on North Korea

Upon North Korea's most recent long-range missile launch, U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley urged all countries to comply with United Nations sanctions and limit cooperation with the regime.

According to Voice of America (VoA), which is government funded worldwide news source that serves as the United States federal government's official institution for non-military, external broadcasting, China didn't export any refined oil products to North Korea in October, abiding by the U.N resolution adopted in September in response to Pyongyang's relentless missile testing.

While the Security Council has strengthened sanctions against North Korea, 13 countries, including Angola, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar and Syria, were found to have military ties with Pyongyang, which continues nuclear and missile development programs.

CRH not making bid for South Africa's PPC
PPC last month reported a 36 percent rise in half-year earnings, helped by a robust performance in Zimbabwe and Rwanda. Swiss-based multinational LafargeHolcim is also still talking to PPC about a potential bid.

The report said that these mostly undemocratic regimes received military training from North Korea, or received or exported military related equipment to or from North Korea. This includes its main trading partner China, as well as Germany, Brazil, India, and France. Countries with high levels of corruption are targeted. The report said 20 countries were found to have provided assistance to North Korea by, for example, changing the national registration of ships to disguise their origin.

But the report says worldwide pressure can be effective, pointing to Uganda's recent decision to expel North Korean officials after years of receiving police and military training from the country's army.
