West Indies win the toss, elect to bat first

Zimbabwe host West Indies for the first of a two-match Test series starting on Saturday.

For Zimbabwe, batsman and former captain Brendan Taylor and fast bowler Kyle Jarvis are straight back into the team after returning from English county cricket to resume their global careers.

Taylor, who last played global cricket at the 2015 World Cup, opted out of his Kolpak deal with Nottinghamshire towards the end of the recent county season and ended up signing a contract with Zimbabwe Cricket.

While Zimbabwe will be looking to take down a largely inexperienced West Indies side, there is no doubt they will be in for a challenge, especially as the men from the Caribbean defeated England in a memorable Test match at Headingley in August.
