Cher Is Returning to Acting With Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!

In quite remarkable and truly wonderful casting news, it appears that Cher has joined the cast of the Mamma Mia sequel.

The film has been shooting on location in Croatia, but is coming to shoot on the sound stages of Shepperton later this week.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! is now being filmed both in the United Kingdom and on location in Croatia. She simply captioned the Tweet with a kiss emoji.

The pic marks Cher's first major movie role since the 2010 musical Burlesque. "IM IN MOMMA MIA2" (sic).

This exciting news, paired with the revelation that the Queen herself will become the subject of her own big Broadway spectacle, has sent a signal to musical theatre fans everywhere that Cher will be a regular visitor to our shores in the coming years.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again began shooting in September in the United Kingdom and Croatia, and will release in cinemas Stateside on July 20th, 2018.
