Newly acquired Cleveland Cavaliers guard Isaiah Thomas breaks silence with Instagram video

By trading Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics, the Cavaliers received a prolific scorer in Isaiah Thomas, a defensive expert in Jae Crowder, a true center in Ante Zizic, and the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first-round pick, which is considered their most valuable acquisition.

Altman's pre-emptive strike against inquiries about Thomas' readiness or lack thereof didn't go over that well in a room full of media types, but he wouldn't budge.

The timetable for his return is uncertain but a recent Instagram video released by Thomas provides some info. "And I'm excited." Obviously, Thomas feels confident about Cleveland's chances of winning the Eastern Conference next season and maybe winning the National Basketball Association championship again.

"Our responsibility is to get him back to 100% and that's our goal", Altman said. In 66 games last season, the 27-year-old point guard posted 21.1 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 33.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Jamie Vardy: Dele Alli's gesture was harmless and just banter
During the second half, the Spurs midfielder was caught on camera flipping the bird, although it was unclear who his gesture was aimed at.

Ironically enough, the Cavaliers and Celtics meet in Cleveland on October 18 to start the season. He instead chose to be very vague and unspecific. And we also have José Calderón, who has been in the gym every single day. "He's just excited at what we can bring to the table and how we can help".

Time will tell if Thomas and LeBron can work, but don't be surprised if he has a new home city soon. Rose and Calderon will need to pick up the slack for the team at the point guard position until Thomas is completely healthy. Obviously, one of the things he immediately addressed was playing alongside #LeBron James: "I get to come over and join the best team in the East, and try to win a championship alongside the best basketball player in the world". The Cavs have not provided a timeline as to when they expect Thomas back on the court and ready to play.

He developed into a two-time All-Star and a fan favorite with the Celtics, leading them to the No. 1 seed in the East and an Eastern Conference finals matchup with Cleveland in last season's playoffs.
